Bulbs: #1 - 25

Planting Bulbs

As a Leader in Me school École Edwards students combined the Seven Habits of Happy Kids with environmental stewardship and spent some sunny days in September planting bulbs in the school yard.  Almost every class in the school took part.  They were practising Habit 2 Begin With the End in Mind.

September:
The bulbs we planted in these 2 beds never came up.  They are stepped on in the winter months at recess.  Is there anything we can do to get those bulbs to grow next year?  Our students gardeners would love to hear your tips.  You can leave a message in the comment section below.
June!:

21st Century Competency:

We are collaborators.  We worked together to plant bulbs throughout the playground, dividing up available plots, preparing and mixing organic matter and fertilizer into the soil, and watering our own and one another's bulbs.  We agreed not to play or dig in the new gardens to allow our work time to grow.

 Grade(s) Involved:      Kindergarten-grade 4 inclusive (25 classes)
 Date Submitted:          September 29th, 2011
